NEWLY CREATED DOUGLAS-DELABIE COMPANY SELECTS KBB/HPE 2008 AS LAUNCH PLATFORM

At KBB/HPE, March 2008, the Douglas Group is showcasing innovative washroom control solutions for the commercial market under the banner of its newly created company - Douglas-Delabie.
The move follows the 2006 strategic trading alliance between Douglas Controls and Delabie, Europe's market leader in water control/saving products.
The two companies have worked closely together for some years through joint product innovations.
On show is a unique range of thermostatic and electronic shower/basin controls incorporating an anti-legionella 'duty flush,' which activates 24 hours after last use.
Flagship shower control products - include the Avance Elan, a new range of TMV3 certified Thermostatic shower valves and complete with Comfort range of showerheads.
Sporting Shower Panel - ideal for group shower applications, easy to install, water-saving (regulated flow rate at 8 lpm) and low-maintenance (nozzle jet technology prevents scale build-up).
Tempomatic Premix Thermostatic Shower Panel - features an automatic anti-legionella 'duty flush' if shower is not used for 24 hours.,/p>
On-off operation is non-touch, utilising electronic infra-red operation and the Premix Thermostatic Shower Panel incorporates the TMV3-approved Delabie BB792 thermostatic shower valve, which will deliver precise, stable temperature control.
Safe hot water controls - extensive range of Economix and Hydromix thermostatic mixing valves.
Basin taps and mixers - Tempomatic Mix 3 electronic non-touch basin taps and mixers with an automatic anti-legionella 'duty flush' if not used for 24 hours.
Plus, water-saving, Tempostop time basin taps where flow rate is regulated at 4 litre per minute. Flow rate is adjustable at commissioning without isolating the water supply or dismounting the tap.
Temposoft Basin taps and mixers - new range of easy to operate 'soft touch' timed flow push basin taps and mixers, featuring a 'twice as soft' push action compared with other time flow taps, Temposoft self closes after a nominal run time of 15 seconds to prevent cross contamination of bacteria. With regulated flow rate at 4 litres/min, water savings of approx 70% can be achieved compared with a traditional basin tap.
WC/urinal - new generation of electronic and timed flow urinal and WC controls including direct flush solutions, eliminating need for high maintenance cisterns.
The new Tempofix frame system for IPS systems will also be on the Douglas-Delabie stand.
It is the first frame system purpose-designed to resist specific constraints of public and commercial places.
Easy and fast to install, this totally self-supporting system is the ideal solution for the fitting of a washbasin, urinal or wall-hung WC in public/commercial sector applications, particularly in enhance ing sanitary facility aesthetics and via direct flush valves.
A founder member, Douglas Controls takes an active role in BEAMAEnergy's Thermostatic Mixing Valve Manufacturers' Association (TMVA), which promotes and addresses issues concerned with safe provision of hot water at point-of-use.
The company is also an industrial associate of SoPHE (Society of Public Health Engineers).
